Olivia Dedels M.Ed., NCC, Associate Professional Counselor

Bio

Olivia is passionate in providing a safe and open space to meet clients where they are at in their journey to reaching their full potential. She believes that each client is special in their own way, often adopting an eclectic approach to treatment modalities that best fit the client’s unique needs. The orientations she most commonly uses are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered and solution-focused therapy.

Olivia obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University. Prior to joining CNSL, Olivia worked as a counseling intern in the prison system providing therapy to incarcerated adults. She also has experience working for Auburn University’s athletics program, teaching resources and comprehensive life skills to athletes in efforts to enhance the student-athlete experience. She is currently an associate professional counselor working under the supervision and direction of Katie Landers, LPC, CPCS, ATR-BC.

As a former Division 1 college soccer player, Olivia is passionate about the mental health of athletes and uses her own experiences with sports to empathize with and advocate for the athlete population. She has also developed a passion for perinatal and postpartum mental health and is excited to support and navigate clients through the transformative experience of entering parenthood.

Olivia works with teens and adults ages 15 and up.
