Elana is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia, who is a driven, organized, and compassionate Clinical Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings. She possesses a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee, and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Elana has experience working with clients of all ages, and has a specific passion for serving children and adolescents. Prior to joining our practice, Elana worked within a fast-paced community mental health environment and provided therapy in high schools. She has also worked in a residential program for foster children. Elana has experience and training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Flash-modified EMDR. Elana is easy to connect with and has a casual, approachable style of therapy. Her focus areas include working with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, lack of motivation, and emotional dysregulation.
