Karen Dodge has a diverse background working with children as a teacher, case worker, and counselor. She is passionate about working with kids and is pursuing additional play therapy training. Karen enjoys helping children navigate their complex feelings, teaching them ways to express themselves, and providing a safe space for children to be themselves in the therapy room. She has experience working with issues such as anxiety, adjustment issues, divorce reactions, grief, and social skills.
Karen is an Associated Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Shorter University.
Karen is working at our practice under the supervision and direction of Jessica Hallam Anderson, MS, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S. She plans to gain full licensure under supervision while also obtaining her Registered Play Therapist credential.
