As a systemic child and family therapist, Kiara prioritizes a strong therapeutic relationship and unconditional positive regard for all clients. Her experiences as an elementary school teacher and licensed foster parent provide a unique understanding and perspective when working with families to meet their therapeutic goals. Kiara works with children as young as three years old, adolescents and adults, and couples and families. She aims to create an environment of safety and trust where clients of all ages can show up authentically.
Kiara is a LAMFT, Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator for premarital counseling and has completed Level 1 Training for Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She has also completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Trauma Therapy. Kiara primarily uses play therapy and family therapy modalities, including Structural and Experiential Family Therapy. Kiara has served in various roles in ministry leadership since 2015, and she is able to incorporate spiritual principles into therapy as requested.
