Erin Smith believes in meeting people where they are at to explore a path to healing and thriving together. She graduated from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville with her Master’s of Science in Social Work (MSSW) and is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Georgia. Erin currently offers telehealth services to ages 13 and up.
Erin uses unconditional positive regard and a warm approach to help her clients create sustainable changes in their lives. Before pursuing a career in counseling, she spent 10 years in local ministry, primarily working with children and their families. She believes that people are more than just a sum of their parts and that there can be beauty even in times of chaos. Her focus areas include anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem issues, Perinatal Mental Health (pre and post-partum), coping mechanism development, and eating disorders. Erin utilizes multiple treatment approaches during sessions such as Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Informed (DBT), Trauma focused, and Compassion focused.
She is seeking licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is working at our practice under the supervision and direction of Jessica Hallam Anderson, MS, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S, as well as the clinical supervision of Bonnie Klopach, LCSW.
