I began my career in the mental health field immediately after receiving bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology by working at National Counseling Group. There I gained invaluable experience with all age groups and populations of individuals doing intensive in-home services, mental health skill building, crisis stabilization, and therapeutic day treatment within the school systems. I have also been employed as a behavior technician, servicing children on the Autism Spectrum. Most recently I completed a yearlong internship at the Mental Health Association in Maryland while receiving my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022. I was able to further enhance my experience, knowledge, and evolve as a mental health provider.
I am passionate about helping individuals of all ages who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, everyday stress, low self-esteem, and life adjustments. My goal is to help them learn to develop positive and healthy ways to improve their mental health, life experiences, and well-being. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults to develop the necessary tools to achieve healing and growth. I integrate various modalities such as person centered, cognitive behavioral, and dialectical behavior therapy. I am also trained in Autplay therapy and utilize it to work with neurodivergent clients.
Diversity is also a true core value of mine which enables me to understand the importance of being culturally aware. I strive to work in a collaborative effort alongside my clients to obtain their individualized goals by creating a safe space and authentic therapeutic relationship.
