

Denise Sunga alternates between seeing clients for in-person therapy sessions at the Woodstock, Marietta, and Alpharetta locations, and offers telehealth therapy sessions.
Denise is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Georgia, with a passion for empowering clients to reach their true potential. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. She believes there is power in all of us if only we are willing to search for it.
As a counselor, Denise provides an empathic environment that is both professional and comfortable in order to meet the needs of her client. She has experience working with a variety of clients and issues, all with the main goal of assisting you on your journey. She uses various treatment modalities and orientations tailored for each client and most commonly utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills (DBT), Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused therapy.
Denise works with individuals ages 15 and up. She is very experienced in working with ages 15 and older experiencing issues with Anxiety, ADHD, Impulse Control, Executive Functioning Issues, Emotional Trauma, Complex/Chronic Trauma, Burnout, Emotional Regulation, Anger Management, Adjustment Disorder, Autism (ASD), Grief, Life Transitions, Lack of Motivation/Focus, Social Skills, Depression, LGBTQ+ Issues/ Gender Identity Issues, Mood Swings, Bipolar, Stress/Managing Stress, Perfectionism, OCD, History of Self-Harm, Addiction/Substance Abuse & Recovery, Suicidal Ideation, Relationship Issues, Social Anxiety, Boundary Issues, Self-Esteem & Confidence Issues, Irrational Fears/Phobias, Separation Anxiety, Communication Issues, Panic Attacks, Insomnia from Anxiety, and Borderline Personality Disorder.
