Denise is an associate professional counselor with a passion for empowering clients to reach their true potential. She believes there is power in all of us if only we are willing to search for it. As a counselor, Denise provides an empathic environment that is both professional and comfortable in order to meet the needs of her client. She has experience working with a variety of clients and issues, all with the main goal of assisting you on your journey. She uses various treatment modalities and orientations tailored for each client and most commonly utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered and solution-focused therapy.
Her focus areas include preteens, teens, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotion regulation difficulties, stress management and coping skills, self-esteem, life transitions, and LGBTQIA issues. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA.
Denise is under the clinical supervision and direction of Jessica Hallam Anderson, MS, LPC, CPCS, RPT.
