Bio

Amanda Flowers is a Master’s Level Pre-Licensed Therapist who earned her Master’s degree from The University of Alabama, studying Marriage and Family Therapy. She is working under the direction and supervision of Jessica Hallam Anderson, MS, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.

Amanda is dedicated to supporting individuals and families through life transitions, including parenthood, career changes including entrepreneurship, caregiving for aging parents, learning about a new psychological diagnosis and other significant shifts. She practices from several therapeutic approaches, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Therapy, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs.

With a background that includes clinical training, experience in finance, and her own journey as a parent, Amanda brings a holistic perspective to her work. She has completed DONA postpartum training, Conscious Discipline training, and coursework in child nutrition and organizational analysis from Stanford University. These diverse experiences allow her to support clients in managing stress, improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, and adapting to life’s challenges with resilience.

Amanda works with teens, adults, couples, and families. Her areas of focus include anxiety, ADHD, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, stress management, grief, parenting dynamics, self-esteem, and navigating major life transitions. She is committed to providing compassionate, goal-oriented support to help clients gain clarity, build coping strategies, and move forward with confidence.

When she’s not in session, Amanda enjoys photography, reading, and exploring the outdoors with her family.
