Ramona believes that all people are unique and possess special attributes. Being a person with a disability herself she feels that no one should be excluded from anything and that everyone deserves to live their best life. She graduated from Troy University – Phenix City with her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2004 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia.
Ramona uses an eclectic approach to help her clients create sustainable changes in their lives. Before pursuing a career in counseling, she spent 5 years in the legal side of life, primarily working with adults who were on probation. She believes that everyone deserves a chance at a fulfilling and joyful life and that through counseling this can be achieved.
Ramona also understands the challenges of having a legal background and how it can affect individuals who have been charged with a multitude of legal offenses and does hold a specialty certificate for working with youth who have been adjudicated on sex offender charges with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. Ramona was also the lead clinician over Georgia’s death row for two years with the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Ramona also enjoys working with individuals who are on the Autism Spectrum and function on the high to moderate functioning scale of being Autistic.
