Bio

Childhood and adolescence bring growth, change, and new challenges for both children and their families. Having a supportive space where emotions can be explored can promote confidence-building and assist with navigating life’s challenges. I value collaborating with parents and caregivers to ensure you feel equipped to support your child or teen’s growth.

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Agnes Scott College. My clinical training consists of working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient and partial hospitalization settings. These experiences shaped my understanding of how to meet children and adolescents where they are developmentally. Every individual has unique strengths, experiences, and needs.

My Approach

  • Building a trusting connection – I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where children and adolescents feel safe expressing themselves, exploring their emotions, and being their authentic selves.
  • Navigate emotions together – I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior-Informed Therapy (DBT), and play-based interventions to support each child’s unique needs and developmental stage.
  • Encouraging self-expression – I create a welcoming space where children and adolescents can explore their feelings, express themselves, and build confidence through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Partnering with parents – I collaborate with parents and caregivers to support their child’s emotional growth beyond the counseling room.

What Makes Me Different

My background in psychology and child advocacy has strengthened my ability to understand each child and adolescent beyond their challenges. I strive to recognize their individual strengths, experiences, and needs while supporting their emotional well-being and personal growth.
