Bio

Welcome! I’m Susan Goodwyn, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addictions Counselor Level II based in Georgia. My practice is grounded in the belief that open and honest communication is essential for building trust and enabling the expression of thoughts and feelings in the present moment. This approach fosters a sense of wholeness and well-being, guiding you toward personal growth and self-fulfillment.

With a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, earned in 1987, I bring extensive experience and compassion to my work. Before embarking on my journey in counseling, I dedicated 15 years to ministry, specializing in the care and guidance of children and adolescents. This background has profoundly shaped my approach, emphasizing unconditional acceptance and accurate empathy as keys to meaningful therapeutic relationships.

I firmly believe that hope is the universal element that propels us toward self-actualization. My role is to accompany you on your journey, providing a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your inner world and achieve your fullest potential. Together, we will work towards your goals, fostering resilience and a renewed sense of purpose.

Let’s embark on this journey together.
