

Shannon Dixon sees clients for in-person therapy sessions at the Woodstock location, and offers telehealth therapy sessions.
Shannon is a Licensed Master of Social Worker and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). She earned her Bachelors degree in Social work (BSW) in 1997 from the University of Georgia, and my Masters in Social work in 1999 from the University of South Carolina. She is working under the clinical direction of Jessica Hallam Anderson, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S and the clinical supervision of Michelle Sobel, LCSW.
She believes in creating a non-judgmental space where you can be open and honest, and uses a person centered approach believing you know yourself best. She is here to listen and help you explore your thoughts, behaviors, and feelings in order to reach your goals. With more than 25 years of experience, she has had the privilege of working in diverse settings, gaining valuable expertise along the way; she has worked in adult and adolescent in-patient mental health, group sessions with at risk youth and teens. She has worked with the LBTGQ+ community, developmentally disabled adults and their caregivers, and has also worked as a teacher.
She offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered and Strength Based therapy to adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, and the elderly.
