Leigh Bowerfind sees clients for in-person therapy sessions at the Woodstock location, and offers telehealth therapy sessions
Hello, my name is Leigh Bowerfind. I earned my Masters degree in Social Work at Capella University and my Bachelor of Science in Human Growth and Development from Georgia State University. Previously working as a qualified Mental Health Professional – Registered (QMHP-R) with the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) and as a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Oregon, I have years of experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to help children, teens, and adults improve their quality of life. In moving back to Georgia as a Master’s Level Pre-Licensed Therapist, I am currently pursuing licensure in Georgia under the supervision of Michelle Sobel, LCSW, and Jessica Hallam Anderson, MS, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.
I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, and older adults facing a wide range of challenges. In my practice, I take a multidimensional therapeutic approach, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution focused therapy, play therapy, psychodynamic principles, and family systems techniques to best support each client’s unique needs.
In my down time, I enjoy spending time with friends/family, being outdoors and caring for rescue animals.
