Brittany Ott sees clients for in-person therapy sessions at the Woodstock location, and offers telehealth therapy sessions.
Brittany Ott earned her Masters in Social Work at Georgia State University in 2013. Brittany’s primary emphasis in psychotherapy is on affirmation and cultural responsiveness, always through the lens of systems theory which she’s held onto from her background in social work. Her years working in refugee resettlement and residential treatment centers showed her the unimaginable strengths possessed by all humans, no matter the age or situation. At times, this strength is difficult to access alone. Brittany strives, using various techniques, to help others find their strength in the hope that it will carry forward in that person and on to others. Her approach is challenging yet supportive and direct yet affirming. She believes authenticity is key in the therapeutic relationship, as she understands that trust is something to be earned.
She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical-informed (DBT), Flash for Trauma, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Exposure therapy, Mindfulness-Based cognitive, Person-Centered, Culturally Sensitive, Strength-Based, and Trauma-Informed therapy. She works with teens, young adults, and adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation difficulties, and more. Brittany is currently under the direction and supervision of Jessica Hallam Anderson, LPC.
Her areas of focus and expertise include, but are not limited to:
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy is a non-invasive procedure that can treat symptoms of depression. Talk to our therapists to see if TMS is right for you.
